Centred in Melbourne’s central business district, RMIT is embedded in its urban environment and is a leader in responding to the challenges and opportunities facing urban areas. A specialised Centre for Urban Research at RMIT was formed in 2012. The centre is committed to interdisciplinary research, with collaborative projects involving government, industry, not-for-profits, and other universities, to help shape public debate and policy surrounding pressing urban issues.
